Do you feel sometimes that you are not making any progress in the world, not even in the spiritual sense? We all do sometimes the same way as the apostle Paul did in his imprisonment. As followers of God, we cope with our problems and move on. We, Christians speak and act in a certain way that non-Christians find strange. For instance we don’t like to say, we were lucky to meet someone; we rather say we were blessed by the guidance of God to be there at that point of time to find that person. Some people in the secular world do not like us because we are always filled with hope and a certain type of positive attitude that for non-believers is just an annoyance. They do not know our bound to God, we are all important to God each and every one of us as, we are God’s little projects that he started and he completes. As with many people and numerous congregations, such as the Philippians or the Corinthians, God help them to grow in grace. God does the same thing with you and your congregation. He helps you until he completes his work in your life. When you are discouraged, remember that God will not give up on you. He promises to finish the work that he has begun. When you feel incomplete, unfinished or distressed by your shortcomings, remember God’s promise and care. Do not let your present trouble rob you of the joy of knowing Christ or keep you from growing closer to him.
