Spiritual Health                                              -                                                    Ép lélek

So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. -1 Peter 1:13

A few weeks ago in the news there was an interesting segment, which I thought was not really news worthy, but somehow stuck with me. A young woman became a celebrity for a day by calling her boss to tell him that she is not coming to work on that day because she needs a mental health day. Her superior did not question her; he was rather thoughtful thinking she was entitled to stay home to regain control on her abilities to perform better at her job. Unfortunately not many supervisor or manager would allow a worker to take off time in order to come to work stress free, when they think they are ready to be at the job that they are getting paid for. In fact I heard many times, when a boss told an employee to smile and leave the personal business home. When it comes to serve the Lord it is different. God asks us to come to him with our troubles and place them right in front of the Lord. When you are working for God it is a must for all of us to take time and feed our soul. God wants you to be in a harmonious state of mind. God needs you to be alert and filled with the Holy Spirit even before you can hear his calling for you. What is even more amazing, you can ask the Almighty to help you to find contentment in your life. Working for God throughout your life mandates paying attention to what your heart and mind desires. By your faith in the Lord focus on the promise of God who brings peace to you and through you to others. Be mentally alert, disciplined and focused on what you do like you are getting ready to meet Jesus Christ in the work that you do. Take not one, but as many mental health days, when it comes to be active laborers in the kingdom of God.

Merciful God, we pray that your serenity and peace will guide our lives to your eternity in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Forduljunk Isten felé a Jézus Krisztus békéjéért.
