The late Reverend Vasarhelyi used to remind us during the ministers’ meeting that no matter what work people do around the church, he always tells them to do it well because God is watching. I believe people actually listened to him and for that reason worked the best they could. On the other hand, sometimes people do not carry this mentality and even if they read and know the instruction of the bible they conduct themselves with an empty heart, without any conscious effort to pass the inspection of the Lord. Some people do this because they are bored, some because they are tired and some are just missing their faith in God. The thing that is even more shocking to me is there are broken families all around us, where one of the parents leave the family, the responsibilities of building and supporting their own. They create the environment, where not only their heart is missing from the job, but their entire being is gone. This is the case, when the person decides to serve the human master that becomes a selfish creature, who denies God by refusing to be the helper and provider. The question for us is this, do we as the church serve and protect with a loving heart that Jesus himself handed down to us? The apostle Paul reminds us that God created us into this world with a purpose, to deliver a mission, a performance, where we all must conduct ourselves as we worship the Lord with the work that we do. We should work without complaining, without grudging and with excitement in our heart to deliver the best of our God given abilities in what we do.
Gracious Lord, help me to have a serving heart that is full of grace, when it comes to serve in the world that you have created, where you placed me to be useful to others. Amen.
A mi megboldogult, kedves szolgatársunk, Nt.
